REINFORCED CONCRETE COUPLING DRAIN PIPES WITH INTEGRATED SEAL L = 2.5 m 1. Application: The preliminary casted reinforced concrete coupling pipes with integrated flexible seal are designed for the construction of drainage and sewerage non-pressure and low-pressure systems for transfer of sewer, rain and treated industrial wastewater. 2. Design: The use and laying of the pipes at each site shall be performed according to an investment project, developed and approved in the respective legal manner, while observing the current construction and normative documents. 3. Laying: The pipes are laid on a preliminary made sand cushion or casted blinding concrete B 15, and the obtained angle shall be between 90° and 120°. The pipes are stuck into each other through sliding. The areas where the seals are located shall be cleaned before assembly. The sliding grease is placed at the pipe end where there is no seal, i.e. on the concrete. The pipe coupling starts from the endmost, deepest part of the pipeline. Each pipe, especially the first one, shall be well centered and the sliding power shall be carefully controlled. Each of the next pipes that will be slid in the previous pipe shall be lifted and it shall hang freely. In order to prevent the damage of the elastomeric seals, special devices shall be used. The pipe sliding with an excavator will damage them. The distance between the ends of two pipes shall be at least 5 mm. In general, the wastewater pipes shall be connected in a straight line between two shaft structures. The direction change, if necessary, shall be implemented from the shaft structures. It is possible to have curves along the path through preliminary casted curved articles. The pipe design position shall be geodetically controlled. 4. Use and maintenance: The designed life of the pipes manufactured according to this standard is very long. No special maintenance is required during the operation period.
