REINFORCED CONCRETE COUPLING DRAIN PIPES WITH INTEGRATED SEAL L = 2.5 m 1. Application: The preliminary casted reinforced concrete coupling pipes with integrated flexible seal are designed for the construction of drainage and sewerage non-pressure and low-pressure systems for transfer of sewer, rain and treated industrial wastewater. 2. Design: The use and laying of the pipes at each site shall be performed according to an investment project, developed and approved in the respective legal manner, while observing the current construction and normative documents. 3. Laying: The pipes are laid on a preliminary made sand cushion or casted blinding concrete B 15, and the obtained angle shall be between 90° and 120°. The pipes are stuck into each other through sliding. The areas where the seals are located shall be cleaned before assembly. The sliding grease is placed at the pipe end where there is no seal, i.e. on the concrete. The pipe coupling starts from the endmost, deepest part of the pipeline. Each pipe, especially the first one, shall be well centered and the sliding power shall be carefully controlled. Each of the next pipes that will be slid in the previous pipe shall be lifted and it shall hang freely. In order to prevent the damage of the elastomeric seals, special devices shall be used. The pipe sliding with an excavator will damage them. The distance between the ends of two pipes shall be at least 5 mm. In general, the wastewater pipes shall be connected in a straight line between two shaft structures. The direction change, if necessary, shall be implemented from the shaft structures. It is possible to have curves along the path through preliminary casted curved articles. The pipe design position shall be geodetically controlled. 4. Use and maintenance: The designed life of the pipes manufactured according to this standard is very long. No special maintenance is required during the operation period.

1. REINFORCED CONCRETE PIPES, DOUBLE REINFORCEMENT – used for construction of sewerage pipelines, road and railway culverts. 1. Design The use of the manufactured pipes at each specific site is performed according to an investment project, developed and approved in the respective legal manner, while observing the technical construction norms and the requirements of BDS EN 1916. The minimal filling cover above the pipes is 600 mm for the culverts measured from the upper surface of the pipe to the pavement level. When the filling cover is 1500 mm thick, the pipes shall be placed on a sand base course. When the thickness is bigger, a profiled base course of blinding concrete of B 15 class concrete with range angle of 120° and minimal thickness of 20 cm shall be provided. The thickness of the fill shall be no bigger than 3.0 m. 2. Laying The double reinforced concrete pipes are laid in the design position on the preliminary made sand cushion or on casted blinding concrete with minimal thickness of 20 cm. The loading and unloading and the laying operations shall be implemented with a crane with a hoisting capacity and range depending on the specific conditions for G pipe = 3.0 t. The laying is performed by two fitters under the supervision of a responsible supervisor. The staff shall have a 2nd degree fitter qualification. The design position of the pipes shall be geodetically controlled. When there are no fitting anchors, there should be rubber pads to protect the pipe front edges from demolition. 3. Use and maintenance The double reinforced concrete pipes have a long life and no special maintenance is required.
